Basic information
Double row ball bearings are available with a rubber seal, in a single or double sealing version.

Sealed bearings on both sides are normally filled with lithium based grease, which has good anti-corrosion properties and may be used in temperature range from 30 ° C to 110 ° C. The bearings are lubricated for lifetime and do not require relubrication. The amount of grease is adjusted to the size of each bearing and completed in most cases from 25 to 35% of the free space of the bearing.

Bearings with rubber low friction seals meet the requirements of a good sealing with a minimum of friction. Sealing lips form a very narrow gap between the cylindrical surface of the inner ring so that the seal is virtually non-contact. Because of these properties, these seals with better sealing performance, can operate at the same speeds as bearings with shields.

Seals are made of synthetic rubber resistant to oil and abrasion and are suitable for use in the temperature range from 40 ° C to 120 ° C. Rubber seals are firmly fit in the edges on the cylindrical surface of the outer ring, ensuring perfect sealing without causing deformation. The inner sealing lip puts little stress on the inner ring. In bearings with rubber seals there might happen a leakage of lubricantin in extreme conditions such as at high speeds and at high temperatures.
